Services for Children/Teens
I specialize in working with children and teens, offering two primary services: Parent Consultation/Coaching and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). These approaches are designed to help parents address behavioral challenges and improve their relationships with their children, especially when dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral dysregulation.
Parent Consultation/ Coaching
Parent Consultation/Coaching is aimed at supporting parents who are navigating the complexities of raising children with mood and behavioral concerns. Through one-on-one sessions, I offer guidance on how to manage challenges such as anxiety, depression, and attention difficulties. In these sessions, I work collaboratively with parents to develop strategies that address specific concerns, improve parenting practices, and foster a healthier family dynamic. I also offer family therapy for parents seeking a more hands-on approach to working with their children and teens Family Therapy.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based approach focused on improving the parent-child relationship and addressing behavioral challenges, particularly with children ages 2-7 who struggle with issues like oppositional behaviors, aggression, and defiance. In PCIT, I coach parents in real time, teaching them how to use positive reinforcement and effective discipline techniques to improve their child’s behavior and emotional regulation.
My approach is grounded in research-proven techniques, ensuring that every strategy is backed by evidence and tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. Together, we will work on creating lasting changes that improve behavior, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
